As I spent most of the day dodging millions of people, through the subway, on the train, down the street, through the park and in the bathrooms. I tried to find subjects that displayed some sort of solitude through out the many faces of New York. My first experience in the big city has definitely intrigued my eye for street photography. I was thinking about my experience shooting street photography in the Twin Cities and how I would contribute to defining the look of Minnesotans. After my return I spent a day helping my buddy Rich clean up his place and he showed me this Taxi driver/photographer David Bradford and gave me some more well needed inspiration after the fact.
While making my way back from Brooklyn I decided to get lost in Manhattan. These monstrous buildings go for miles and miles. It is so amazing and I did not spend enough time in new york. Here is the second series of Monochrome photos.
I walked around Brooklyn, New york and ended up on the Williamsburg Bridge and Snapped a few photos. I love all the lines that bridges have and it makes for any great composition. I hope you enjoy and feel free to show people. I miss new york a lot right now.
I also have a couple other sets of photos from new york, so keep an EYE out. Cheers

After a 21 hour trip to New Jersey we finally got to work on some video shots in Trenton, New Jersey. It was interesting to see where a lot of the White Cactus story is portrayed. After months of the post production process, Jens family memories had become more of a reality.

I’ve been hyped to see some footage that fellow colleagues Jeff Johns and Ryan Loughridge. They had shot a documentary on leprosy in the Far east awhile back. It is stunning what they have had to go through to get things up and running on project. Here is the trailer and I hope you share it with those around you. These guys are going to be big someday and I applaud their efforts in telling these stories. Love you Ryan and Jeff

This is probably going to be the closest thing to me ever seeing Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Efrim Menuck Had a Q&A between songs which talked of politics, bad jokes from the audience and random wonderings of the band. The SMZ’s dynamic arrangements seemed to quiet the crowd and Menucks amazing vocals could be the only thing heard at times during the performance. I would love to see these guys again soon.
